Informasi dari Humas KONI Pusat menyebutkan tawaran itu disampaikan langsung oleh Rogge pada Rita Subowo. Rita merupakan anggota aktif IOC.

Keduanya sedang menghadiri Olimpiade Remaja yang saat ini berlangsung di Singapura. Acara tatap muka di Istana kepresidenan itu merupakan bagian dari kegiatan Olimpiade Remaja Pertama. Sebanyak 205 Ketua Komite Olimpiade Nasional masing-masing negara dan anggota IOC dijamu oleh Presiden Singapura S,R.Nathan.

"Jika berminat silahkan ajukan proposal pasti akan kami respon. Saya yakin negara anda akan bisa menjadi tuan rumah," ungkap Rita mengutip ucapan Rogge dalam perbincangan tersebut.

Namun Rita agak pesimistis Indonesia dapat terpilih menjadi tuan rumah, karena Olimpiade Remaja II tahun 2014 akan dilangsungkan di Benua Asia, yaitu di Nanjing, China.

"Saya pikir tidak akan mungkin Olimpiade Remaja akan berlangsung tiga kali berturut-turut di Asia," Kata Rita Subowo.

Meskipun demikian Rita Subowo menyatakan sangat menghargai tawaran Presiden IOC tersebut.

"Kami sangat menghargai tawaran yang disampaikan langsung oleh Jacques Rogge," ungkap Rita.

Dalam kesempatan tersebut Rita Subowo menyatakan rasa salut dan bangga atas penyelenggaraan Olimpiade Remaja Pertama di Singapura ini. Meski tergolong sederhana, namun Singapura mampu menhadirkan 205 negara pada Olimpiade Remaja pertama ini.

"Infrastruktur mereka sudah lengkap, Pemerintah dan masyarakatnya mendukung penuh penyelenggaraan Olimpiade Remaja ini," tutur Rita.

Sementara itu Ketua Kontingen Indonesia, Ade Lukman, menyatakan kontingen Indonesia sudah berada di perkampung atlet.

"Seluruh anggota kontingen dan atlet yang berjumlah 54 orang dalam keadaan sehat," papar Ade Lukman.

Atlet-atlet Indonesia baru akan mengawali pertandingan di Olimpiade Remaja I, pada hari Minggu. Mereka akan tampil pada pertandingan cabang olahraga bulu tangkis, tenis lapangan, dan renang.(*)

Gagal Juara SEA Games, Nurdin Siap Mundur



JAKARTA. Sepak bola Indonesia bukan lagi menjadi kekuatan utama di Asia Tenggara. Salah satu buktinya adalah kegagalan pasukan Merah Putih menjadi juara SEA Games dalam lebih dari satu dekade terakhir. Setelah meraih emas pada SEA Games 1991 di Manila, timnas Indonesia tak pernah lagi menjadi yang terbaik di Asia Tenggara.
Akankan keterpurukan itu berlanjut saat SEA Games 2011 dihelat di kandang sendiri? Berbagai cara ditempuh PSSI untuk membentuk skuad yang tanggguh. Salah satunya adalah menggaet pelatih asal Austria Alfred Riedl.
Pemerintah pun tidak tinggal diam. Untuk kali pertama, pemerintah mengucurkan bantuan lewat APBN kepada PSSI sebesar Rp 20 miliar. Harapannya adalah Indonesia harus meraih medali emas sepak bola SEA Games 2011.
"Saya rasa tidak ada alasan lagi untuk tidak meraih medali emas di SEA Games tahun depan," kata Menteri Negara Pemuda dan Olahraga (Menpora) Andi Mallarangeng saat bertemu dengan jajaran pengurus PSSI dan Badan Timnas Nasional (BTN) di Jakarta kemarin.
     Menurut Menpora, pertemuan itu membahas banyak hal. Mulai dari progress tindak lanjut dari Kongres Sepak Bola Nasional (KSN) 2010 hingga persoalan rencana naturalisasi pemain.   
     Menjawab tantangan Menpora, Ketua Umum PSSI Nurdin Halid siap mundur jika Indonesia gagal meraih emas SEA Games 2011. "Fokus kami adalah bagaimana meraih medali emas SEA Games 2011. Pemerintah sudah kasih bantuan. Meski ada faktor luck juga, tapi jika sampai gagal meraih medali emas, ya kasih kesempatan lah kepada orang lain," kata Nurdin.
     "Jika itu yang terjadi, ini bukan ini bukan masalah tidak kemampuan lagi. Tapi, garis tangan yang sudah tidak cocok," sambungnya.
     Mantan terpidana kasus korupsi itu sangat menghargai dan berterima kasih terhadap upaya pemerintah yang sudah mengucurkan bantuan untuk timnas. Pun upaya-upaya lain untuk memajukan pembinaan sepak bola di tanah air. 
     "Pemerintah sudah melakukan apa saja agar timnas kembali berjaya. Jika gagal, semua harus melakukan reformasi dan harus tahu diri. Mungkin nanti ada orang yang lebih kompeten," kata Nurdin.
       Menurut Nurdin, PSSI sudah melakukan banyak terobosan ungtuk membentuk timnas yang tangguh. Di antaranya dengan menerapkan sport science dalam tiga hal. Yakni, gizi, skill, dan mental para pemain. "Kami juga sudah merestrukturisasi total sumber daya manusia di BTN," ungkapnya. (ali/ca/jpnn)

Indonesia Targetkan Juara Umum SEA Games XXVI

Jakarta - SEA Games XXVI akan hadir pada tahun 2011 mendatang. Indonesia sebagai tuan rumah pun telah siap sedia menjalani pesta olahraga se-Asia Tenggara tersebut dan mencanangkan gelar juara umum yang sudah lama tak pernah diraih.

Palembang mendapat kehormatan menjadi kota penyelenggara utama gelaran yang resmi dimulai pada 11 November 2011 mendatang, dengan Jakarta disiapkan menjadi kota penunjang. Pemilihan dua venue ini sendiri diambil dengan pertimbangan biaya dan efektifitas.

"Iya, dengan demikian Jabar menjadi tuan rumah PON 2016, Jateng untuk Paragames saja. Pembiayaan bisa lebih bisa hemat menjadi dua itu. Kita juga menghemat tamu-tamu kita, karena kalau mereka  terpecah menjadi empat pasti biaya untuk para tamu jadi lebih meningkat," kata Menpora Andi Malarangeng usai rapat persiapan SEA Games di Kantor Wapres, Jakarta, Kamis (12/8/2010).

"Pembukaan dan penutupan di Palembang, tapi (SEA Games) simultan karena tidak bisa satu tempat saja. Idealnya memang di satu tempat saja, tapi sekarang ini tidak ada satu tempat pun yang siap menyelenggarakan  seluruh cabang itu pada satu ketika. Maka yang optimal bagi kita adalah dua tempat, kalau empat terlalu membebani," lanjut Andi.

Sebagai tuan rumah, sejumlah besar dana pun sudah dan akan terus digelontorkan untuk menunjang persiapan dan gelaran SEA Games. Tapi sejauh ini, semua disebutkan berjalan lancar.

"Intinya bahwa semuanya persiapan berjalan dengan baik, baik itu dalam rangka penyelenggaraan maupun  peningkatan prestasi. Wapres mengharapkan koordinasi berjalan dengan baik, dan semua persiapan bisa dijalankan," kata Andi.

Sebagai tuan rumah, tentu akan kian membanggakan jika Indonesia berhasil keluar jadi juara umum di SEA Games. Apalagi sudah cukup lama berselang 'Merah Putih' menjadi jawara di ajang tersebut. Nyatanya, memang bidikan inilah yang jadi target di SEA Games XXVI.

"Target juara umum, dong," lugas Andi.

Kali terakhir Indonesia keluar jadi juara umum SEA Games adalah pada tahun 1997 silam, saat ajang itu digelar di Jakarta. Semenjak itu enam gelaran terlewati dan Indonesia bahkan tak pernah lagi menduduki peringkat dua, kendati masih menjadi peraih gelar juara umum terbanyak yakni sembilan kali.
